I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Omni Severin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. The couple rented a suite for getting ready. It had two floors, large windows with gorgeous light, and views of downtown that made every shot feel cinematic. Shooting in a space like that is a dream. It fit the editorial style this couple wanted perfectly. They were relaxed, playful, and completely themselves, which made the images feel natural while still polished.
The Omni Severin itself is a piece of Indianapolis history. Built in the early 20th century, it’s classic and elegant, but it has just enough character to make a wedding day feel unique. The reception space carried that energy perfectly. Every detail—from the florals to the table settings—fit the mood and made photographing the reception a joy. The room felt alive without being chaotic. Guests were celebrating, dancing, and enjoying the night in a way that made my job easy.
They had a beautiful ceremony at the Saint John the Evangelist downtown.
As an Indianapolis wedding photographer, I love working at venues that offer both elegance and character. The Omni Severin is exactly that. With its downtown location, historic significance, and stunning interior spaces, it’s a wedding photographer’s dream. I can’t wait to shoot more weddings there and continue creating beautiful Indianapolis wedding photography for couples who want timeless, editorial images.
