Some sessions just feel effortless from the start. This one was like that. The couple had just bought their first home and wanted to celebrate that too, so we made it part of the shoot. I love in-home sessions because they’re personal. You’re in a space that actually means something and you get to include your pets. Their dog and cat were all in on the action, which makes everything feel alive and real. I love working through movement, letting couples walk, spin, cuddle, laugh, and just be themselves. It makes photos feel natural and organic.

Capturing moments like this reminds me why I love being an Indianapolis wedding photographer. It’s about more than pretty backdrops. It’s about connection and personality. We wrapped up the session in about 30 minutes, but the energy stayed with me. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding and see all the joy and love that was already so clear in this session.
